Welcome to the website for The Clacton and Holland Beach Hut Association.
Whilst it has been impossible to arrange the usual meetings during the present crisis, please be assured that your committee is continuing to work with other agencies such as Tendring District Council and Community Guard to serve the interests of the Association's members and enable us to continue to use the Beach Huts within the current restrictions.
We all look forward to the time when we can meet up again in a more formal setting. Please continue to look at the website for up to date information

NOVEMBER 2024
Ray has received an email from TDC concerning some rubbish deposited outside Gunfleet Sailing Club which, although there is no evidence to support it, some elements at TDC suspect may have originated from a Beach Hut. (I stress that the Seafronts Team have stated that there is no evidence to support this)
In the interests of good relations Ray has agreed to post this notice on the website and remind everyone that any litter or other rubbish originating in or from Huts should be disposed of properly, if appropriate taken away.

OCTOBER 2024
We have been advised by Tendring DC that the WATER for the promenades serving the Beach Huts will be turned off for the winter during the week commencing 4 November. In the event that there is a sudden severe cold spell this date may be brought forward.
JULY 2024
NOTICE FOR ALL BEACH HUT OWNERS USING THE ENTRANCE OPPOSITE HAZLEMERE ROAD CAR PARK
We have been asked by TDC Seafronts Team to remind any hut owners who use or may use the gate at the opposite of Hazlemere Road car park to ensure that the gate is locked at all times when not in use, i.e close and lock immediately after both entry and exit. There have been several instances seen recently when the gate has been left open.
We have been told that failure to comply with this request may give cause to changes in the availability of access.
